اشترط القائمون على مسابقة ملكة جمال إنجلترا ظهور المتنافسات على اللقب بوجوههم خالية من أي مساحيق تجميلية، في خطوة تهدف إلى الاحتكام إلى ملامح الوجه الطبيعية.

وسيتوجب على المشاركات في المسابقة إرسال صور فوتوغرافية لأنفسهم من دون مساحيق التجميل أو التعديلات على الصور التي توفرها تطبيقات الصور.

ووفقا لصحيفة “التليغراف” البريطانية أن “هدف تلك الخطوة تعزيز الإيجابية تجاه الجسم والجمال الطبيعي في مجتمعات باتت مهووسة بمعايير غير واقعية للجمال، والتي عززتها صور العارضات التي تحتل وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي والإعلام العالمي”.

Round 1 – Dare To Go Bare <3 Everyone has their own insecurities, some come in terms to love their imperfections, some hide it with makeup while some turn to surgery and fillers. This year to tackle the rise in surgeries and filler, Miss England launched a Bare Face Top Model round to encourage everyone to be comfortable in their own skin. I myself have always been insecure of my dark circles since an early age, it came about when people would ask me if I am ill or didn't get enough sleep and that I should stay hydrated but in reality, it was heredity and allergy that I had when I was a child. So as part of my #MissEngland2019 journey I had to rise up to the challenge and bare it all on camera. Make up is a means of enhancement but how often do the lines get blurred between enhancement and concealment. So often we just hide behind a film of products and even artificial cosmetic enhancements be it Botox or fillers. it's just easier to blend into the crowd than own your flaws forgetting that it's these that make you you. So here I am owning my flaws. My imperfect skin. My short sparse eye lashes and brows. No filter. No enhancement. No Photoshop . Although I have to thank @medicalcosmetics for giving my skin back it's youthful glow and lustre it's lacked for years !
